Yes, if it's not crowded.
Yes! I went with my family and our French bulldog and the staff were so nice, they allowed us to sit and bring our dog next to us and even gave her a bowl of water. There was also another family with a dog there.
No. Credit cards are accepted.
I don't know much about gluten free, but I do know that they don't fry anything there and It's all fresh.
I've never been to the happy hour. Sorry
Fresh is best
Yes tables, this time. Of year off season should be less crowded especially during week nights
No reservations
We have been going to this place for many years. The food is delicious, great service. BYOB, during summer months the wait is long but well worth it.
A great meal! Good views outside seating.. Also we had to deal with an approaching storm, so turned out to be quite the adventure but they were very helpful to guests leaving as we assured them as well to having to close early, due to effects of Isaias weather! Friendly staff also..
Great lobster melt. This is a BYOB style restaurant. Good specials on weekends. Clam bakes and surf n turfs. I ordered steak rare, but came out close to well done, oh well. It was still enjoyable. I recommend.
Spike's is a fun BYOB casual seafood restaurant on the bay. During my week at Point Pleasant I ate there twice. On a Sunday during lunch, I ordered a crab off the specials menu. It was glorious. When I came back Tuesday night for dinner, I ordered it again. I think I confused the kitchen a little bit. The second time around it was a Frankenstein creation of a crab cake and a crab roll. Regardless it was delicious and affordable. The staff were polite and attentive. The staff were complying with COVID-19 regs.
Wonderful food great staff always always always an awesome experience.Extremely casual with an upscale menu.Dress up or come casual. Everyone is welcome.
My husband and I were there today after the beach and spent $96 on literally the freshest made to order Seafood around. It's worth the trip from anywhere. Service was awesome, portions are great, lots of options and most importantly it's FRESH and you can taste it!! Highly recommend anytime at Point Pleasant in Jersey shore!
Spikes was good the first time we went for lunch. We ordered the stuffed crab, stuffed mushrooms, lobster melt and raw clams. We all loved that food! At dinner time the next day, the food was a bit different, not as good. The clam bake was big, but the corn was very dry and my friends ordered rare steaks and got them well done. It was full of people but there were plenty of waitresses and waiters available. They are very clean and the service is good overall. I recommend the stuffed clams or scallops
Points for speed of service but a rather blah experience food wise. My buddy and I ordered lobster rolls, we were both craving one, and thought it'd be a good move seeing as this is the area destination for seafood. $17.95 bought us a little hot dog potato roll filled with a few tablespoons of lobster in the center. It was as if someone in the company thought that they'd reduce food costs and maximize profit and return off the unsuspecting tourists. Unfortunately I'm always getting lobster rolls and this, while flavor wise was decent, missed the mark. The lobster also seemed grilled as opposed to the soft boiled lobster I've gotten in sandwiches at other locations. It was ok, but not worth ordering. Try something else on the menu otherwise you're going to be let down and 17.95 short. I will say the coleslaw and potato salad were excellent and as stated at the outset, service was speedy and worth the $5 dollar tip. Try another spot for your lobster roll.
